Special Interest Groups

Special interest groups (SIGs) support the mission of the Society, promote dynamic networks for Society members and address current trends and issues in a variety of topics. These groups provide members with an invaluable networking opportunity and lead the industry in formative discussions and cutting-edge advancement of each area of focus. We invite you to join groups or propose a new group.

To join a group, login to your member account and use the 'Special Interest Group' link on the member menu. SIGs include: 

Propose a New Group
To propose a new group, submit a request for formation of Special Interest Groups (SIGs) by email attachment. Please review the criteria and tasks for leaders prior to submitting your request form.

Criteria for Leaders of Special Interest Groups:

• Current membership with the Society for the Arts in Healthcare
• A minimum of five years of experience in the proposed special interest area
• A commitment to lead the proposed SIG for two years
• SIGs may have no more than two leaders

Tasks required for Leaders of Special Interest Groups:

• Moderate the SIG listserv.
• Participate in an annual membership committee conference call to report on your SIG.
• Lead a SIG meeting and/or panel sessions at the Society for the Arts in Healthcare's annual conference.
