Gloria Donnelly is the Dean of the College of Nursing and Health Professions at Drexel University and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Horizon House, Inc., a non profit that delivers services to indigent mentally ill and mentally retarded consumers in Philadelphia and Delaware. Dr. Donnelly is a nurse and a psychologist with 35 years of experience in nursing and health professions education. She has served on the Executive Board of the National League for Nursing. She is currenlty the Editor in Chief of the refereed journal, Holistic Nursing Practice, a Lippincott Williams Wilkins journal that has a 20-year history featuring the efficacy of alternative and complementary therapies and the use of the arts in healing. Drexel University includes one of the first graduate programs in the country on Creative Arts Therapies, Dance, Music, and Art. Dr. Donnelly has encouraged interdisciplinary work among the Creative Arts faculty and nursing, rehabilitation sciences, mental health sciences and the physician assistant faculty.
