Ronna KaplanDirector, Department of Music Therapy
Ronna Kaplan, MA, MT-BC, Director of Music Therapy at The Cleveland Music School Settlement, is a member of the organization’s senior management team with over thirty years of clinical music therapy experience encompassing premature infants through senior citizens. She has conducted research, started and evaluated programs, and developed an outcomes-based measurement system. She has taught and supervised practicum students, interns, and professional therapists.
Kaplan received a Certificate in Nonprofit Management from the Mandel Center for Nonprofit Organizations at Case Western Reserve University, an MA in special education from Kent State University, a B. Mus. in music therapy and music education from Michigan State University, and an Orff Level I Certificate from Cleveland State University.
Kaplan has published and presented nationally and internationally. Having held positions in various music therapy organizations, she is Immediate Past President of the American Music Therapy Association.
Note: For the 2013 grant cycle, Ronna Kaplan is available only for projects that can be completed between May and August.
